There are a lot of football fans in Austin! Why not pass that on to the next generation? (And maybe make sure they don’t get bored and bother you while you’re watching the game too!)

Whether you’re watching the Super Bowl, the Longhorns or keeping up with your fantasy team, these spots have TVs and space to play (many even have playgrounds!). And when it’s not football season, these are great places to watch other broadcast sports!
Bring the kids and watch the big game. Everyone will enjoy it.

Best Austin Places to Watch Sports
1. Frontyard Brewing
4514 Bob Wire Rd
Spicewood, TX 78669
Everybody loves Frontyard (and 5 Soul Wine Co.)! There’s a gorgeous hill country view (without being too far out), lots of drink options and so much space for kids to run around. There’s a big open area perfect for games and toys while you watch the big game.
2. Meanwhile Brewing
3901 Promontory Point Dr
Austin, TX 78744

Meanwhile is one of locals’ favorite kid-friendly breweries in Austin. Lots of shade, fun playscape, great food trucks, and TVs inside and a big screen outside for big games!
3. Doc’s Backyard Grill
5207 Brodie Ln #100
Sunset Valley, TX 78745
This South Austin spot has a legit playground. It’s like being at a park. Plus there is a small playhouse closer to the tables in case you have little ones that can’t quite handle all the climbing yet.
4. Fieldhouse at the Crossover
1717 Scottsdale Dr Suite 160
Leander, TX 78641

This is a sports lovers’ paradise with kids’ soccer fields for league play, pickleball, volleyball, an indoor ice rink and a giant screen to watch whatever sports are on that day! I’ve seen NFL games, winter olympics and college games here. The playground is fully covered, which is a big bonus.
5. The Pitch (temporarily closed)
13000 Harris Ridge Blvd
Austin, TX 78753

You can find The Pitch in Northeast Austin right next to the Austin FC practice field (hence the name). It’s the perfect place for sports lovers, with lots of TVs all over the space. There are multiple restaurants and bars, as well as a coffee shop, that you can order from on one tab. Kids can play in the big sand pit — there are usually some shovels and buckets left there, or you can bring your own!
6. Bouldin Acres
North: 1806 W Braker Ln, Austin, TX 78758
South: 2027 S Lamar Blvd, Austin, TX 78704
Note: The South location of Bouldin Acres no longer allows children after 3 pm on weekends.
Add a great playground to a great sports bar and you get Bouldin Acres. Plenty of TVs, food and drinks for the grown-ups. Both locations have playgrounds that are fenced in and set off from the rest of the restaurant!
7. Austin Beerworks Sprinkle Valley
10300 Springdale Rd
Austin, TX 78754

I love this big location of ABW! The outdoor space is huge with a disc golf course and a fun treehouse playground, and there’s a family room inside with TVs!
8. Lake Travis Biergarten
3519 B, Ranch Rd 620 N
Austin, TX 78734
If you’re looking for a covered patio to watch the game, this is it. It’s the perfect setup for watching football while also keeping an eye on your kids. There’s a playground with slides and swings, and lots of room to roam around.
9. Angel’s Icehouse
21815 State Hwy 71
Spicewood, TX 78669
Angel’s Icehouse has a huge outdoor space with lots of trees and a play area for kids! Bring them out while you watch your favorite sporting event.
10. Toss Pizzeria
11905 Bee Caves Rd #100
Austin, TX 78738
Grab a pizza and a drink and watch the big game in the turf yard. There’s a TV, lawn games and just enough room for kids to enjoy themselves!

Austin, TX 78757
This family-friendly spot behind Yard Bar has a covered patio with TVs, plus a small soccer turf and playground!
13. Redbud Ice House
2027 Anchor Ln
Austin, TX 78723
Redbud Ice House has a play area with wood beams, a seesaw and chalkboard, plus TVs and game-day specials for the sports fans.
14. 12 Fox Beer Co.
4700 W Fitzhugh Rd
Dripping Springs, TX 78620
Head to this relaxed brewery in Dripping Springs to play on the big castle-like playscape, hang out and watch the big game on the TV!
15. Nameless Saloon
23296 Nameless Rd
Leander, TX 78641
There are 2 playgrounds (including one built on an old bus) at this ice house-type hangout with food trucks.
16. Moontower Saloon
10212 Menchaca Rd
Austin, TX 78748
This spot is kid-friendly until 6 pm, so it’s perfect for a morning or afternoon game (but would not work for watching the Super Bowl with kids). There’s lots of space to spread out, plus a hanging net play area in the trees! Fair warning: Moontower Saloon sometimes charges $20 for parking (which may be able to be applied to your bar tab).
