Where is Rock’N River?
Rock’N River is in Round Rock, Texas, north of Austin. It’s in Old Settlers Park near Dell Diamond. The address is 3300 E Palm Valley Blvd., Round Rock, TX 78664.
How much does Rock’N River Water Park cost?
As far as water parks go, Rock’N River is the most affordable in town! The prices for a day pass are $6 for kids 2 and under; $12 for ages 3-17; $14 for adults; and $12 for seniors.
If you just want to go in the evening, you can get twilight admission from 5 pm to close for half price.
You can buy tickets online in advance or at the door.

What can you do at Rock’N River?
Rock’N River is smaller than the other well-known water parks in the area, like Typhoon Texas and Kalahari, but it still has lots to do.
There is a shallow area for little kids with a train playscape and tiny slides, a small lazy river with splash elements, and a big kids splash playground with several medium sized slides, smaller slides and a huge dumping bucket. Older kids and adults can ride the slides — there are a couple twisty slides, a drop slide and a dive platform.
There is also a pool with a swim-up snack bar, zero-depth entry with some small fountains, and a basketball goal.
Is Rock’N River expanding?
Construction is underway for a new addition to the water park to nearly double Rock’N River’s capacity. It will have an “action river” and cabanas with a private pool. There will also be more parking. The anticipated timeline for finishing the expansion is late spring 2026.
How tall do you need to be for Rock’N River water park?
There are no height requirements for the shallow play area or the lazy river. The huge playscape for kids, called Splashville, has a height minimum of 40″ for the 3 big slides. There are lifeguards near the playscape that will measure your kids and give you a wristband so they know which slides they can ride.
You have to be 48″ or taller to ride the other slides, including the twisty slides and activities in The Quarry (where the drop slide and platform are, because the water is deep). At The Quarry, anyone under 16 also has to pass a swim test to do the rock wall, dive platform or drop slide.

What ages is Rock’N River best for?
Rock’N River is good for all ages (especially since it’s not super expensive, so if anyone gets bored, you can just leave), but it’s the most fun for toddlers to tweens. It’s perfect for elementary age kids.
Toddlers will have plenty to do between the shallow little-kid areas, the lazy river, and Splashville. They can’t ride the bigger slides at Splashville, but they’ll like the smaller slides, sprayers and (maybe) the big bucket.
Elementary age kids are a great size for this water park. They can do most things — ride the medium slides at Splashville, and early- to mid-elementary are normally tall enough to ride the bigger slides if they want to.
Tweens can likely do everything at the water park if they want to, and it’s a good size for parents to give their tweens a little more freedom. Teenagers may get a little bored coming with family, but would probably still enjoy the park with friends. There aren’t a ton of big slides, but there are a couple, plus the dive platform, basketball and places to swim.
Does Rock’N River have season passes?
Yes, you can purchase a season pass to Rock’N River for $65 to $75. There are also options for family packs.
Does Rock’N River water park have lockers?
Yes, Rock’N River has a spot for you to leave your belongings. They aren’t typical self-serve lockers — there is a stand where you can pay for a “locker” and a worker will bring you a basket to put your stuff in. They’ll keep it and you can access it whenever you want.
There are 3 sizes, priced at $1, $3 and $5.
Can I bring a cooler or food into Rock’N River?
Yes! You can bring a cooler and your own food into the water park. There are restrictions though. Coolers must be no bigger than 48 quarts (the rule of thumb they suggest is that if it takes more than one adult to carry it, it’s too big).
No glass or alcohol. Coolers and bags will be searched on entry.
There are also snacks, treats and drinks for sale. You can even order and eat at the swim-up snack bar!

Can I wear goggles at Rock’N River?
Goggles are allowed for swimming, but you can’t wear goggles on any of the attractions.
Can I bring floaties or toys to the water park?
You are only allowed to bring in US Coast Guard approved life jackets. No other floaties or toys are allowed. Rock’N River has some life jackets available to borrow, in multiple children’s sizes.
