Fall Events on the North Side of Austin

1. Sweet Eats Fall Festival: Sept. 20 – Nov. 7

14400 E State Hwy 29
Georgetown, TX 78626

Sweet Eats Adventure Farm in Georgetown provides a full day of fun to ring in fall. There’s a pumpkin patch and pumpkin house with perfect spots for photos. Then you can play with the apple cannons, jump on the big bounce pad, climb the tire mountain to the slides, and pet and feed all the animals.

2. Texas Pumpkin Fest: Oct. 3 – Nov. 1

8760 FM 2243
Leander, TX 78641

This festival in Leander has a giant pumpkin patch and lots of fun. It moved to a new bigger location a couple years ago to make room for even more fall excitement. Axe throwing, pumpkin smashing, rides (big and small), face painting and games.

3. Round Rock Pumpkin Festival and Pumpkin Patch: Oct. 3 – Oct. 31

Old Settlers Park
3300 E Palm Valley Blvd
Round Rock, TX 78665

This is a great little fall festival if you don’t want to spend all day at the pumpkin patch. There are bounce houses, a corn pit, barrel train, yard games and a pumpkin patch. It’s relatively inexpensive (though they used to have $5 weekday entry, which I loved! It looks like it’s $10 every day now).

4. Sweet Berry Farm Harvest of Fall Fun: Sept. 20 – Nov. 2 (plus weekends in November)

1801 FM1980
Marble Falls, TX 78654

This Marble Falls festival has plenty of things to do (and take home) from pumpkin painting to scarecrow stuffing to flower picking. Go on a hayride, find your way through the mazes, and of course pick a pumpkin from the patch.

5. Robinson Family Farm Fall Fest: Weekends Sept. 27 – Oct. 26

2651 Bob White Rd
Temple, TX 76501

Head to Temple on the weekends for all kinds of activities. There’s live music, farm animals, chainsaw wood carving, and a wine and beer garden. Kids will love the corn pit, barrel train, and bounce pad!

Fall Events on the South Side of Austin

Indian Springs Ranch

1. Indian Springs Ranch Pumpkin Patch: Sept. 27 – Nov. 1

403 Elm View Way
Manchaca, TX 78652

Come see some of the exotic animals at Indian Springs Ranch while also getting all those cozy fall feelings. Check out the pumpkin patch, photo ops, giant spider web, and corn pit, and on the weekends, enjoy the jumping pillow, face painting, and food and craft vendors.

You can feed the animals for $5 — we saw buffalo (including a white one!), camels (one of them had two humps!), a yak, alpacas, horses, and lots of different types of cows.

2. Uhland Fall Fest: Sept. 27 – Nov. 2

2400 Cotton Gin Rd
Kyle, TX 78640

There’s a lot going on at this fall festival 25 miles south of Austin! So many fun things for both kids and adults! Mazes, corn pit, lots of food and drink vendors, and tons of animal activities like camel rides, fowl play bingo, petting zoo, kids goat yoga and more.

3. Mama Mary’s Farm and Pumpkin Patch: Sept. 27 – Nov. 2

Come visit the farm! There’s animals, a hay maze, a hay ride, a tractor tire playground, rubber duck races and more.

4. Disney Tim Burton’s Nightmare Before Christmas Light Trail: Sept. 25 – Nov. 30

Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center
4801 La Crosse Ave, Austin, TX 78739

Stroll through a half-mile trail to see light displays and take photos with your favorite Nightmare Before Christmas characters.

Fall Events on the East Side of Austin

1. Pumpkin Nights: Sept. 18-Oct. 31

10621 Pioneer Farms Dr
Austin, TX 78754

This has become an annual tradition for us. It’s good with kids, but would’ve been super fun as a date night without them. There are thousands of (fake) pumpkins carved and arranged in the coolest ways, and you walk through all the different scenes. They are mostly the same year to year, so keep that in mind if you’ve been before.

Fall Events on the West Side of Austin

1. Pecan Street Festival: Sept. 13-14

Hill Country Galleria, 12700 Hill Country Blvd, Bee Cave, TX 78738

This twice-a-year arts festival now takes place in Hill Country Galleria. There are lots of local artists selling pieces, live music, and food vendors. For kids, there’s usually face painting, rides, a petting zoo, performers and more.

2. Boo at the Zoo: Friday and Saturday nights in October

Austin Zoo
10808 Rawhide Trail
Austin, TX 78736

This family-friendly outing has Halloween-themed games and activities throughout the Austin Zoo, including a haunted train ride, haunted mansion and Halloween decorations throughout. Costumes are encouraged!

3. Driftwood Fall Festival: Oct. 15 – Nov. 2

Vista Brewing
13551 Ranch to Market Rd 150
Driftwood, TX 78619

Three weeks of family-friendly fall fun at Vista Brewing (Wednesdays through Sundays). You’ll find photo ops, a hay maze and mountain, a pumpkin patch, farm animal experiences, petting zoo, artisan market and food and drinks.

Another fall favorite is Oktoberfest! Check out these family-friendly Oktoberfests in the area.
