Where To Watch Football With Kids in Austin: 11 Best Spots to Watch Sports

There are a lot of football fans in Austin! Why not pass that on to the next generation? (And maybe make sure they don’t get bored and bother you while you’re watching the game too!)

Where to watch sports with kids

Whether you’re watching the Super Bowl, the Longhorns or keeping up with your fantasy team, these spots have TVs and space to play (many even have playgrounds!). And when it’s not football season, these are great places to watch other broadcast sports!

Bring the kids and watch the big game. Everyone will enjoy it.

1. The Pitch

The Pitch

You can find The Pitch in Northeast Austin right next to the Austin FC practice field (hence the name). It’s the perfect place for sports lovers, with lots of TVs all over the space. There are multiple restaurants and bars, as well as a coffee shop, that you can order from on one tab. Kids can play in the big sand pit — there are usually some shovels and buckets left there, or you can bring your own!

2. Frontyard Brewing

Everybody loves Frontyard (and 5 Soul Wine Co.)! There’s a gorgeous hill country view (without being too far out), lots of drink options and so much space for kids to run around. There’s a big open area perfect for games and toys while you watch the big game.

3. Meanwhile Brewing

Meanwhile Brewing

Meanwhile is one of locals’ favorite kid-friendly breweries in Austin. Lots of shade, fun playscape, great food trucks, and TVs inside and a big screen outside for big games!

4. Doc’s Backyard Grill

This South Austin spot has a legit playground. It’s like being at a park. Plus there is a small playhouse closer to the tables in case you have little ones that can’t quite handle all the climbing yet.

5. Fieldhouse at the Crossover

Fieldhouse

This is a sports lovers’ paradise with kids’ soccer fields for league play, pickleball, volleyball, an indoor ice rink and a giant screen to watch whatever sports are on that day! I’ve seen NFL games, winter olympics and college games here. The playground is fully covered, which is a big bonus.

6. Bouldin Acres

Add a great playground to a great sports bar and you get Bouldin Acres. Plenty of TVs, food and drinks for the grown-ups. Both locations have playgrounds that are fenced in and set off from the rest of the restaurant!

7. Austin Beerworks Sprinkle Valley

ABW Sprinkle Valley

I love this new location of ABW! The outdoor space is huge with a disc golf course and a fun treehouse playground, and there’s a family room inside with TVs!

8. Lake Travis Biergarten

If you’re looking for a covered patio to watch the game, this is it. It’s the perfect setup for watching football while also keeping an eye on your kids. There’s a playground with slides and swings, and lots of room to roam around.

9. Angel’s Icehouse

Angel’s Icehouse has a huge outdoor space with lots of trees and a play area for kids! Bring them out while you watch your favorite sporting event.

10. Toss Pizzeria

Grab a pizza and a drink and watch the big game in the turf yard. There’s a TV, lawn games and just enough room for kids to enjoy themselves!

11. Aviator

Aviator Parmer

The Parmer Lane location of Aviator up north has a spacious patio with a playscape, lots of tables and TVs inside and one big screen outside. This spot is great for groups with kids!
