Where to Ice Skate in the Austin Area: Year-Round & Holiday Ice Rinks 2025-26

As the weather cools off, even warm Austin has options for ice skating! Sure, they’re man-made, but it still means you can enjoy gliding around the ice this season.

Some of these are year-round, but many of them only operate from November to January. This info is for the 2025-26 season.

Chaparral Ice

This year-round ice-skating facility is a favorite for ice lovers. Check the schedule for public skate sessions (or ice sports if you’re interested!). You can also sign up for 8-week lear-to-skate sessions (kids and adults)!

Ice and Field at The Crossover

Indoor ice-skating facility with two rinks. Check the schedule for public skate times or lessons.

The Pond Hockey Club

This is the place to go if you’re hoping to get into an ice sport. You can play hockey, figure skate, or curl here, with both lessons and leagues.

Bee Cave on Ice at Hill Country Galleria

Four Seasons Ice Rodeo

Lakeside ice rink. $40 for skate rental, hour of skating and access to holiday decor and installations. Nov. 21 through Jan. 4. 

Long Center

Western Wonderland in Dripping Springs

Ice skating rink at Dripping Springs Ranch Park, open Nov. 28 through Jan. 4. Tickets are $15 per skater. There are even ice skating lessons available this year!

Fredericksburg Eisbahn Outdoor Ice Skating

100 block of W. Main, Kinderhalle Pavilion, Fredericksburg, TX 78624

If you’re wanting to make a day trip (or weekend trip), head to Fredericksburg’s annual ice skating rink in the Marktplatz. $15 for a day come-and-go pass, includes skate rental. Tuesdays are $10. Nov. 24 through Jan. 4.

Marble Falls Winter Ice Skating Rink

305 Buena Vista Dr, Marble Falls, TX 78654

Find the ice skating rink in downtown Marble Falls, open in the evenings for ice skating from December 7 until January 3. (It is open for ice bumper cars from November 21 to December 6.)

Presale tickets are $12 and walk-up tickets are $15 for an hour of skating and skate rental.

Gruene Ice Rink

Behind the Pomegranate, 1613 Hunter Rd, New Braunfels, TX 78130

The Gruene Ice Rink is right next to Gruene Mini Golf. The price starts at $18, including skate rentals. Nov. 24 through Jan. 4. Hours vary until December 15, when the rink’s daily hours change to 10 am to 10 pm.
