A day at the farm is always a fun family outing. And it’s even more fun when you can pick your own farm-grown goodies and bring them home!
In Central Texas, there are lots of you-pick farms within a couple hours of Austin. Depending on the season, you can pick berries, peaches, or flowers.
I’ve rounded up the farms around Central Texas that offer pick-your-own options, as well as the general time frame for them to be ready. You should check the farms’ websites and social media to find out exact timing!

You-Pick Farms Near Austin
1. Sweet Eats Fruit Farm
14400 E State Hwy 29, Georgetown, TX 78626
If you’re in Austin, this is one of the closest farms, so it’s easy to go spend just part of a day (though there’s plenty to do to fill a whole day).
Sweet Eats offers you-pick strawberries. They also have started offering tulips in the spring, but you could only buy pre-cut bouquets — no pick-your-own.

2. Sweet Berry Farm
1801 FM1980, Marble Falls, TX 78654
Sweet Berry in Marble Falls in another local favorite. It’s worth a day trip with all there is to do out there!

- Tulips: Late February to early March
- Strawberries: March to mid-May
- Ranunuculus: Mid-March to mid-April
- Sunflowers: Late May to late June
3. Omi’s Blackberry Farm
Paige, Texas, is just outside of Bastrop, so this blackberry farm is an easy outing. You can eat the berries right off the vine because they are free of pesticides, herbicides and insecticides. PSA: There are no bathrooms at the farm, so plan ahead.

4. Jenschke Orchards
8301 US-290, Fredericksburg, TX 78624
Fredericksburg is known for its peaches, and if you’ve been out to Fredericksburg, you’ve probably passed family-owned Jenschke Orchards on 290. They have lots of you-pick options, so there’s something to pick for most of the year!

5. Robinson Family Farm
2651 Bob White Rd, Temple, TX 76501
This Temple farm has lots of family fun throughout the year, and in the spring you can pick your own tulips!

6. Aboud Family Farm, U-Pick
918 Hackberry Rd, Salado, TX 76571
This small family farm is in Salado and grows blackberries and flowers. Check their Facebook for updates on timing and what’s growing.

7. Hill Country Lavender
8241 Farm to Market 165, Blanco, TX 78606
If you love lavender, this Blanco farm grows pick-your-own lavender (check the status of the field here) and sells products even when the lavender isn’t in bloom.

8. DeZavala Fruit Farm
394 Dezavala Ln, Franklin, TX 77856
This berry farm is in Franklin, north of College Station. Call them for the latest updates on timing.
You pick:
- Blueberries and blackberries: Mid-May to mid-July
9. Western Belle Farm

If you’re in Waco for the weekend, head just north to the city of West and Western Belle Farm. You can pick your own strawberries early in the spring and flowers in late spring.
