The Malibu Barbie Cafe has popped up in Austin, and it’s such a cute experience! Lots of photo ops, roller skating, themed drinks and food, and of course, tons of pink!
I’ve got answers here for all your questions about whether it’s worth a visit and what to expect!

Full disclosure: I was invited to a preview party, so it was a bit different than using the reservation system and I was able to sample some of the dishes they have, rather than ordering from the full menu.

Yes, kids are welcome at the Barbie Cafe! It’s all ages. There is a kids menu, kids 5 and older can roller skate, and kids who love Barbies will love all the fun touches and photo ops.
I brought my 6-year-old daughter to the preview party, and we had a great time as a one-on-one date! The preview party was free, but if I was paying, I would just bring my daughter again; I don’t think my husband and son would enjoy it enough to make it worth the price of including them. My son would like the roller skating, but neither of them would be that interested in the Barbie theme.
